way people communicate worldwide. Social media sites allow one to transcend time, space, geographical, and
corporate boundaries in order to communicate much more effectively than traditional face-to-face settings, as they
have also completely transformed the way business is being conducted today and will be done in the future.
Unlike traditional direct marketing businesses, social media sites provide for Internet Direct
Marketing. By effectively utilizing social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Myspace you can spread the
good word about your online (and offline) business and connect with
like-minded business leaders for massive referrals, building buyer lists, promoting your business, etc..
Social Media is give and take.
Give information and receive feedback. Give an opportunity and receive a following. Maybe you are timid in face
-to-face settings, but online you are just computer to computer - so feel free to reach out to those you may never
have had done so in a public setting.
Ask people what they are doing, passionate about, what type of opportunities they look for or are interested
