If you are interested in investing in Bank Owned Real Estate it is often difficult to find the right real estate brokers to work with. Here’s a site that lists all the REO brokers nationwide. All you need for your search in the city, county or zip code. The National REO Brokers Association is dedicated solely to the listing and selling of bank-owned properties. Real Estate Owned (REOs) are properties that go back to the mortgage company after an unsuccessful foreclosure auction.
With the slew of foreclosures lately, the banks REO inventory is building. So now may be your chance to pick up a good investment property.
People are getting loans very easily from banks. These may be sometimes secured and sometimes unsecured loans. Due to the fashion of keeping huge cars, people are getting more car loans. You can even consult with many institutions in banking and finance reference before taking any loan. Such financial institutions even guide in consolidating loan.
But, a bank owned property might not be a great bargain (banks can be stingy for all the wrong reasons) so you need to be careful.
My experience with REOs is that most of them have been trashed and renovation costs subsequently high. It often seems to me that banks don’t correctly consider the damage to a property when they are setting their selling prices. A bank owned house I was looking recently needed close to $200,000 in repairs, yet the bank had the home on the market for only $50,000 less than neighboring homes.
Anyway…. Happy Hunting.

Boy, you can say that again, and again, and …
I have had next to no luck with REO’s. Still looking for those other deals.
Thanks for you post.
